Bellcate Google Workspace Migration
Step 1 - Login to new account

Your new account username is firstname@bellcate.com.  There are a few exceptions to this for folks who share names with other staff.  The temporary password is: Bellcate.1023

During the setup, you’ll be prompted to setup 2 Factor Authentication.  You can use your old email address as a verification account.

Step 2 - Set Email Forwarding from old Account
  1. Switch between your new account back to your old one.
  2. In the top right, click Settings Settings and then See all settings. 
  3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. In the “Forwarding” section, click Add a forwarding address.
  5. Enter the email address you want to forward messages to.
  6. Click Next and then Proceed and then OK.
  7. A verification message will be sent to that address. Click the verification link in that message.
  8. Go back to the settings page for the Gmail account you want to forward messages from, and refresh your browser.
  9. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  10. In the “Forwarding” section, select Forward a copy of incoming mail to.
  11. Choose what you want to happen with the Gmail copy of your emails. Set them to delete Gmail’s copy.
  12. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
Step 3 - Export Contacts from old Account

To add your contacts to another email account, first download them as a CSV or vCard file. To clear up storage, export and then delete contacts you don’t need.

  1. Go to Google Contacts.
  2. Select All contacts: Check the box next to any contact and in the top left, click Selection Actions and then All.
  3. At the top right, click More actions and then Export.
  4. To back up your contacts, select Google CSV.
  5. To save your file, click Export.
Step 4 - Import Contacts to new Account
  1. Switch to your new account and go to Google Contacts.
  2. On the left, click Import Download.
  3. Click Select File.
  4. Choose the file you exported in step 3.
  5. Click Import.
Email Migration

Important:

  • Only the last year of email will migrated automatically.
  • Your old account isn’t going away.

If you use 2-Step-Verification, Jace will need an app password to migrate your account.

  1. Go to your Google Account.
  2. Select Security.
  3. Under “Signing in to Google,” select 2-Step Verification.
  4. At the bottom of the page, select App passwords.
  5. Enter a name that helps you remember where you’ll use the app password.
  6. Select Generate.
  7. To enter the app password, follow the instructions on your screen. The app password is the 16-character code that generates on your device.
  8. Select Done.
